Scituate Maritime Center

Scituate Maritime Center is a single-page site for the Town of Scituate's harbor-side function room at Scituate Marine Park. It opens with the room and a call-to-book, and flags that next year's rentals open November 1. From there it covers the 50-guest function room, resident and non-resident rates ($500 or $800 rental, $200 or $250 refundable deposit), a five-step booking path, catering and alcohol rules, and a short FAQ. Further down are the marina and park amenities, the Recreational Sailing Program, a photo gallery, and the address, phone, email and Select Board Office hours as a weekly chart. The rental application, vendor list, floor plan and FAQ are hosted on the site as PDFs.

What we improved: The old page buried the rental rates, the booking phone, the approved caterer list and the application forms in a long text page with links to PDFs. The new site leads with the harbor-view room, posts resident and non-resident rates in one table, shows the Select Board Office hours as a weekly chart, and keeps the application, vendor list, floor plan and FAQ one tap away.

Scituate Senior Center

The Town of Scituate's Council on Aging and Senior Center offers classes, a weekday lunch program, van transportation, and outreach and wellness services for older adults at 333 First Parish Road.

What we improved: The old page buried the center's day-to-day services in a long menu of town-hall sub-pages and tiny 320-pixel gallery thumbnails. The new site puts classes with their days, times and prices, the Mon–Thu noon lunch menu, ride rates and the phone number up front, and presents the building photos at a size where they stay sharp.

Each site is built from public information published by the community it serves. Wicked Fast Web is not affiliated with or endorsed by the organizations shown. A new site is featured each month.
